Saved by the Single Dad 3.5 stars.Another re release in the MB Single Dad Romance line, putting a new cover on an old book in this case a Medical Romance from the Stranded in His Arms series It stands alone well, although the epilogue is sadly missing some funny stuff that must have happened in the first book Away from that, though, this is an easy read with a hint of medical stuff, a bit of romance and lots and lots of drama.I loved the drama From the beginning where Jack is almost swept away, through several exciting medical rescues, this book isn t lacking in action The flood helps contain everything to a small area, raising the risk factor and keeping things interesting.I also really loved Jack He s dedicated to his job as a paramedic, but also adores his daughter Ellie He s also kind and patient, caring and strong He s kind of perfect, really His only issue arises from the early loss of his father, and even that s pretty minor against all his other great points.Cass has a lotissues, mainly because her pain isrecent and she s still heart sore She s also brave and dedicated, plus super competent I liked her, but I didn t love her Partly because of her stubbornness, but also because there are a few moments where she acts a bit over the top, all things considered. And that s why I didn t love this book As great as the action drama is, the romance drama didn t work as well for me I felt like a few steps were missed at times, especially when their attraction suddenly bursts into flames I like both characters and they make a great team, but there wasn t much romance in their relationship It s all pretty easy, except for the obvious drama, and it didn t draw me in as much as I d hoped.Overall I liked this but didn t love it Jack is lovely and Ellie is a real cutie Cass makes a good strong heroine, though I d rather have seenof her at work rather than stubbornly ploughing through her vulnerabilities If you like medical romances without any doctors or nurses, but plenty of life saving action that make for quick, easy reads, then give this a go Review copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley. A wonderful heartwarming story about two people falling in love They each have had their fair share of heartache, but with a little help from a little girl, they learn to overcome and open themselves to love I love books like this This is the first book that I have read of Annie s This book was heart warming and that even when you ve have had some rough times romance will always win.Jack Halliday is a single dad to his four year old daughter Ellie, when he isn t looking after her, he works as a paramedic.Jack has had a lot to deal with his father died when he was twelve and Ellie s mum died in very unfortunate circumstances But through all this Jack comes across as very warm and caring and utterly adores Ellie and I would love to have Jack as friend.Cassandra Clarke or Cass as she is always called apart from Ellie , is a fire fighter, but there is one thing that she would dearly love to have and that s a family of her own, her partner left her because she couldn t get pregnant I also would like Cass as friend as well.Cassandra and Jack meet for the first time when the village were Cass lives is flooded and Jack and his work partner Mimi get into difficulties and Cass helps Jack to safety We find out that Cass s sister is in the final stages of her pregnancy and is very stubborn over that she is not in labour and refuses to go the hospital lets just say Jack and Cass has a role to play over this I won t reveal any but look out for Miss Palmer and Martin the vicar. All in all I loved the book and I would read Annie s books again and I can highly recommend this book. How much drama can happen to two people That seems to be the question that Saved by the single dad is trying to answer I didn t read this book expecting realistic storytelling but the two characters just had to deal with too much stuff Pregnancy s, floods, kids stuck in mud, carbon monoxide poisoning, GAAAAHHH iy was just too much As a result of this the two main characters lacked in personality and had zero chemistry which is kinda what romances are all about This book is perfectly readable but I didn t enjoy it as much as I wanted too. I love the author the way she writes and sucks you in, these books are my favourite the storyline was fab I enjoyed getting to know the characters and getting sucked into there world. There was too much going on I didn t feel the chemistry between Jack and Cass The Stranger Who Stole Her Heart When Paramedic Jack Halliday Is Saved From A Flood By Red Haired Beauty Cassandra Clarke, The Chemistry Between Them Explodes And While He Ll Always Put His Daughter, Ellie, First, Jack Can T Help Longing To Save Cass In Return Meeting Single Dad Jack Awakens Too Many Cravings In Firefighter Cass, Who S Accepted That She Ll Never Have A Baby Of Her Own But When This Man And His Adorable Daughter Invite Her To Share Their House, Cass Begins To Feel She S Found Her Home Miniseries
